Lucinda ‘Cindy’ Marie Barlow-Bailey

1976 Farrell graduate worked for Ford in Detroit


---- — Lucinda “Cindy” Marie Barlow-Bailey, formerly of the Shenango Valley, was rescued and strategically attended by angels and escorted to heaven on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.

She was born July 14, 1959, in Sharon to the Rev. Madison Barlow and Beatrice Thompson Barlow.

Cindy graduated from Farrell High School in 1976 and attended Cleveland State University.

Cindy was an inspiration to everyone who crossed her path. She was an intricate design by a truly awesome Creator. She was majestically infused with a heart of gold, beauty, grace, eloquent speech, great integrity, endless generosity, humor and unwavering faith.

She was highly regarded in the field of computer technology and had a corporate level career with Ford Motor Co., Detroit.

Cindy was the loving mother of Jermaine McCargo, Michigan; and Deanna McCargo, who preceded her in death.

She regularly celebrated the joy of grandparenting with granddaughters Megan and Jordan, and embraced the role of godmother to goddaughter Rachel. Cindy held tight to family values and close relationships with her beloved siblings.

She is survived by her sisters, Rachel Annette Smith, wife of George; Genell Cozart, wife of Pete; Eran Brown, wife of Peter; Christola Jordan, wife of Melvin; and Christine McMillan, wife of Larry; and her brothers, Levon Barlow; Willie Barlow, husband of Ethel; and Robert Barlow, husband of Joyce.

In addition to her daughter, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Madison Barlow Jr.

Calling hours: 10:30 a.m. to time of service Friday (4-19-13) in Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1138 Spearman Ave., Farrell. Friends and family will be received in the home of the deceased’s brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joyce Barlow, 2575 Rombold Road, Hermitage. Service: Celebration of life service at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the church with the Rev. Russell V. Penn Jr., pastor, officiating.

Interment: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
