Jane M. Biggart

Longtime Transfer church member liked camping

- — Jane M. Biggart of Transfer passed away at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, in St. Paul’s, West Salem Township, after a brief illness. She was 91.

Mrs. Biggart was born May 6, 1922, in Sharon to Karl and Ruth Jackstimer Reimold.

Jane was a graduate of the former Transfer High School.

In June 1942, she married Harry A. Biggart, who passed away Jan. 22, 1998. Jane and Harry lived in Transfer.

She was a lifelong member of Zion’s United Church of Christ, Transfer.

Jane loved to play cards, garden, can food, stay in the Alleghenies with her husband at their camp and spend time with her grandchildren.

Jane is survived by: two sons, James E. Biggart, Transfer; and Robert K. Biggart and his wife Rosemary, Crownsville, Md.; nine grandchildren, Angie and her husband Mark Fulcher, Brandy and her husband Brady Stallings, Darby Browne, Amy Cubellis and her companion Tammy Brown, Stephanie Tow and her companion Troy Greenfield, Chris Biggart, Devin Biggart, Darren Biggart and Charles Gibbs; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Harry A. Biggart, she was preceded in death by her father, Karl Reimold; her mother, Ruth Reimold; two sisters, Agusta Heile and Joyce Popovitch; and a brother, Jack Reimold.
