Roberta ‘Bobbie’ L. Dunn

1st Methodist member worked at courthouse


- — A funeral service will be held Saturday for Roberta “Bobbie” L. Dunn of Sharpsville. She passed away at 4:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 73.

Ms. Dunn was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Sharon, a daughter of Robert and Mary Dute Trimble.

Bobbie was a 1957 graduate of Sharpsville High School.

She retired in 2007 after many years of employment in the Register of Wills office in the Mercer County Courthouse.

Ms. Dunn was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sharon. She also was a member of the Sharpsville Historical Society and belonged to a card club that she and her high school classmates began years ago.

Bobbie enjoyed reading, traveling and gardening. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are: three sons, Albert Dunn and his wife Deborah, Clarksville, Md.; and Robert Dunn and Michael Dunn and his wife Heather, all Sharpsville; and four grandchildren, Shane, Rachel, Ryan and Brandon Dunn.

Bobbie is also survived by her dog, Chelsea.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
