Joyce Ann Willaman of Transfer passed away Saturday (12-28-13) at home. She was 84.
She was born in Hermitage on Dec. 2, 1929, to Roy and Bernice (Campbell) Robb.
A graduate of Hickory High School, she was a cheerleader and the first Homecoming queen.
On Sept. 23, 1947, she married Robert C. Willaman and together they shared 66 years.
First and foremost a homemaker, she loved, fed and cared for family and friends.
She worked part-time as a retail clerk at Lee Supply in Sharpsville, followed by several years in the catalog department of JC Penney in the Shenango Valley Mall, Hermitage.
A very active member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Hermitage, she served in nearly every office of the church and women’s groups, led children’s church, and served on and led multiple committees.
Also, in the community, she held school-sponsored Bible studies for children in Delaware Township.
While living and raising her family on the farm, she was active in the Pennsylvania Farmers Association.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, at home; daughters, Roberta (Bill) Welsh, Amy (John) Venderstappen and Hope (Chuck) Hamilton all of Transfer; grandchildren, Kim Welsh (Doug) Brockway, Allison Park; Lynde Vanderstappen (Bill) Brownlee, Maple Heights, Ohio; Wes Vanderstappen, Transfer; Grant (Melissa) Hamilton, Hermitage; Travis Hamilton, Transfer; great-grandchildren, Parker Brockway, Abby, Ruth, Grace, Blaze and Anna Brownlee; and a brother, Dean Robb, McKenzie, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; sons, infant Daniel and Charles; brother, Delmar Robb; and sister, Shirley Aber.
Beautiful and talented, loved by all, her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
She donated her body to the Human Gifts Registry.

Calling hours: 12:30 p.m. to time of service Tuesday (12-31-13) in Faith Presbyterian Church, 2370 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage. Another calling hour will be observed after the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
Service: Memorial service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Steven Stelle, pastor, officiating.
