HOWLAND, Ohio —
Michael H. Bokor of Howland, formerly of Sharon, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, in his home with his family by his side. He was 68.
Mr. Bokor was born Sept. 5, 1945, in Sharon, a son of Julius and Louise Sebestyen Bokor.
Mike was a 1963 Sharon High School graduate and retired as a tool and diemaker from Packard Electric, Warren, Ohio, in August 1995.
Following retirement, Mike and his wife, Ella May, moved to Sun City West, Ariz., where they lived for 17 years.
He loved reading and golfing.
His pride and joy was spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons, Chase and Cole Pownell of Mason, Ohio.
Mr. Bokor was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was bestowed a Bronze Star with “V” Device for his heroism in ground combat and the Award of the Army Commendation Medal.
Other than his two grandsons, other survivors include: his wife, the former Ella May Lawn, whom he married June 24, 1967; two daughters, Jennifer Bokor and her husband Larry McManus, Warren, Ohio; and Bonnie Pownell and her husband Gregory, Mason; his siblings, Irene and her husband Richard Young, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Margaret Halula, Sharon; Julius Bokor and his wife Jeri, La Mesa, Calif.; Alex Gorgo, Homestead, Fla.; and George Bokor and his wife MaryAnn, Sharon.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Vilma Bokor; his twin brother, John Bokor; and his niece, Cynthia Halula.

Service: Funeral service at 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried celebrating Michael’s life. Military services will take place after the religious service.
Burial: 11 a.m. Saturday (4-5-14) in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hermitage.
