Charles T. “Terry” Patton, Sandy Lake, passed away peacefully after an extended illness at 4:05 p.m. Friday (5-9-14) in Evergreen Hills Nursing Center, Harmony, Pa. He was 71.
Born Oct. 11, 1942, in Grove City, he was a son of DeLos A. “Carney” and Clara L. McFadden Patton.
He was a 1960 graduate of Lakeview High School.
In his early years, Terry worked at the former Patton’s Pennzoil of Sandy Lake, then 16 years at Westinghouse Electric, Sharon Transformer Division, then retired in 2002 as a corrections officer from the Mercer County State Regional Correctional facility.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Patton was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam era.
Terry loved animals and was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Patton.
He is survived by three daughters: Amy Szlucha and her husband David, Macedon, N.Y., and twins Tera Warnock and her husband Michael, Butler, and Cara Johnston and her husband Mark, Poland, Ohio; two grandchildren, Matthew Szlucha Macedon and Carley Johnston, Poland.

Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Twp.
