Eleanor D. Barnot

Hermitage woman born, raised in New Castle

---- — Eleanor D. Barnot of 3681 Candy Lane, Hermitage, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 8:23 p.m. Monday (6-10-13) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 93.

Mrs. Barnot was born Oct. 5, 1919, in New Castle, a daughter of John F. and May G. Moltz Shiderly.

Eleanor was raised in New Castle and attended New Castle schools.

Her husband, John Barnot, whom she married March 29, 1941, passed away Dec. 4, 1977.

She is survived by three daughters, Doris Esinduy and her husband Ozcan, Cincinnati; Josephine Flynn and her husband John “Jack” Flynn, Hermitage; and Mary Horn and her husband John, Springfield, Va.; and three sons, Francis J. Barnot, Houston; David P. Barnot and his wife Rosa Lenor, Stafford, Va.; and James E. Barnot and his wife Tami, Stephens City, Va.

She also leaves 13 grandchildren, Cem Esinduy and his wife Nickie, Dr. Canan Esinduy and her husband Jason Niemann; Kelly Rogan and her husband Brian; Kevin Flynn; Tim and Randy Barnot; Veronica, Nelson and Enrique Lenor; and Angela, Melissa, Doris Jane and Tammy Barnot; and four great-grandchildren, Alex and Austin Esinduy; and Katie and Delaney Rogan.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Paula F. Barnot; two sisters, Anna M. Reno and Isabelle Turner; four brothers, John, Vern and Louis “Ike” Shiderly; and Norman Shiderly; a stepsister, Stella Ferree; and three stepbrothers, Francis, Arthur and William Shiderly.
