Self-employed beautician did volunteer work

---- — A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Monday for Anne Chuhanic of 52 S. Mercer Ave., Sharpsville. She passed away at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, in her residence after a brief illness. She was 92.

Miss Chuhanic was born Oct. 20, 1920, in Stockdale, Pa., to John and Mary Macik Chuhanic.

She was a self-employed beautician for 30 years, as owner of Anne’s Beauty Shoppe, Speers, Pa.

Anne was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage and belonged to the Rosary Society. She was a volunteer at Meals on Wheels and Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage.

Anne enjoyed sewing, quilting and taking care of her family.

Surviving are a niece, Mary Kausek, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a great-niece, Jennifer, wife of Jonathan Kos, Sharpsville; and two great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Michael Chuhanic; a sister, Mary Curtiss; and three nephews. John M. Chuhanic, Edwin Curtiss and Bill Kausek.

Service: Divine Liturgy at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, with the Rev. Kevin Marks, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center, Pa.
