Sharpsville woman was school district retiree


---- — Dolores E. Long of Sharpsville passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in her home, surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was 74.

Mrs. Long was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Connellsville, Pa., a daughter of Clarence and Katherine Dinda Costello.

Mrs. Long was a graduate of Connellsville High School and retired from Sharpsville Area School District.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald L. Long; three daughters, Sheri Long-Ondo, Patricia Ann Long and Margaret Ann Long; and a grandson, Andrew R. Ondo, all Sharpsville; two brothers, Ronald Costello and his wife Sandra; and James Costello and his wife Carolyn, all Connellsville; two sisters, Lucille Rolla and her husband Edgar, Scottdale, Pa.; and Frances O’Neal and her husband Donald, Lakewood, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Clarence “Bill” Costello and Paul Costello; and four sisters, Arzella Huffman, Phyllis Costello, Janet Shaw and Katherine “Cassie” Ringer.
