Robert P. ‘Buzzy’ Sheridan

---- — Robert P. “Buzzy” Sheridan of Hubbard passed away at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in his home. He was 75.

Mr. Sheridan was born March 18, 1938, in Sharon, a son of Edward and Elizabeth Malia Sheridan.

He was a pipefitter at Delphi Packard Electric Systems for 25 years, retiring in 1996.

Mr. Sheridan was a veteran of the Marine Corps.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Knights of Columbus Monsignor Francis J. Hughes Council 2072 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3767, all Hubbard; Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 103, Sharon; and Loyal Order of the Moose.

Buzzy enjoyed sports, golf, volleyball, hunting, fishing, gardening and being with people. He was a precinct committeeman and was on the city park and recreation board of Hubbard.

He is survived by his wife, the former Eileen “Butchie” Rochford, whom he married Sept. 8, 1962; and his children, Sean Sheridan and Joseph Sheridan, both Hubbard; Molly and her husband David Smith, Hartford; and five grandchildren, Jacqueline, Mikayla, Robbie, Sean Jr. and Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Garrett Sheridan.
