A funeral service will be held Thursday for Stephen Nicholas Repasky of Kane Road, South Pymatuning Township. He passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, in his residence. He was 78.
Born Dec. 4, 1934, in Farrell, Mr. Repasky was a son of Stephen and Mildred Blasko Repasky.
He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School. Stephen attended the New Castle Automation Institute and IBM Cleveland Education Center for computer systems and programming.
He worked at Johnson Bronze Co. in New Castle as a systems analyst programmer and as a programmer at Seiberling Rubber Co. in Barberton, Ohio. Stephen retired from Alcan Aluminum Corp. in Youngstown, as an assistant manager of the corporate data center after 40 years of service.
He was a veteran of the Army, serving as a sergeant in Korea and in the Army Reserves.
Stephen was an original member of St. John’s Orthodox Church, now Hermitage, where he volunteered and helped with pirohi sales.
He enjoyed working on the family farm.
Stephen is survived by his sisters and brothers, Mildred Orlosky, Mercer; Mary Jane Repasky, South Pymatuning Township; Katie and her husband Richard Hartley, Fowler, Ohio; and Michael Repasky and his wife Julie, Columbia, N.J.; three godchildren, Kathy Baronowsky, Nicholas Baronowsky and Stephanie Repasky; and nieces and nephews, Glenn and Michele Orlosky, Edward and Mindy Hartley, Paul and Robin Hartley; Amelia, Steve and Samuel Baronowsky; and John and Joseph Repasky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Repasky; a brother, John Joseph Repasky; a brother-in-law, George Orlosky; and a nephew, Gary Orlosky.
Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s name to St. John’s Building Fund or St. John’s Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, both in care of 799 Karen Lane, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday (4-11-13) in St. John’s Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Road, Hermitage, with the Rev. David Mastroberte, pastor, and Protopresbyter Michael Polanichka, pastor emeritus, both of the church, co-officiating. It will be preceded by a brief service in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
Interment: Will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
