Della B. Baldinelli

Homemaker was active Notre Dame member

---- — Della B. Baldinelli, John XXIII Home, Hermitage, formerly of Sharpsville Avenue, Sharon, passed away peacefully at 1:57 a.m. Sunday (4-14-13) in the home following an extended illness. She was 82.

Della was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Harrisville, the daughter of Harold T. and Mary White Baker.

She was a 1951 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Warren, Ohio.

A homemaker, she was an active member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where she belonged in past years to the Ave Maria Society and volunteered countless hours at the church rectory and with the church catering group. She was a former member of the Legion of Mary at St. Joseph’s Church, Sharon.

A member of the North Sharon Fire Hall Auxiliary, she served as past president and secretary.

She also was active with the Sharon High School Football Mothers and served as their past president.

Her husband John Peter Baldinelli whom she married July 18, 1953, resides at John XXIII Home, Hermitage.

She is also survived by two daughters, Debra Lee Cagle and her husband, Daniel, Transfer; Tinamarie Baldinelli (formerly Langone) of Sharon; two sons, Thomas Michael Baldinelli and his wife, Carol, Raleigh, N.C.; and John Patrick Baldinelli and his wife, Lisa, Surprise, Ariz.; a sister, Diane Everett and her husband, Howard “Buddy,” Vienna, Ohio; two brothers, William E. Baker, Pennsylvania; Samuel T. Baker and his wife, Diane, Ladies Island, S.C.; and six grandchildren, Ashley and Natalie Cagle; Jennifer Holmes and her husband, Adam; Anthony Baldinelli; Dominic Langone; and Ryan Baldinelli.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son John Anthony “Tony” Baldinelli; two sisters, Mary York and Laura Rimar; and three brothers, Harold N., John P. and Donald E. Baker.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial contributions be made to her church, Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage 16148.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday (4-18-13) in Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, with the Msgr. Edward J. Zeitler, senior associate pastor of Notre Dame, and several diocesan priests concelebrating. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Internment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
