Robert C. Covert

Retired machinist served in the Air Force


---- — Robert C. Covert died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (9-19-13) in his Pine Township residence. He was 70.

He was born May 12, 1943, in Pine Township to Stanley G. and Virginia Snyder Covert.

Bob served in the U.S. Air Force from June 1, 1962, to Dec. 14, 1966.

He retired from Timken Roller Bearing, Columbus, Ohio, where he was a machinist.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by: three daughters, Bridgett L. Taylor and her husband Ronald, Lancaster, Ohio; Ginger Sue Covert, Groveport, Ohio; and GiGi Ann Covert, Blacklick, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Mae Hogan and her husband George, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and two brothers, Stanley J. “Skip” Covert and his wife Ruth Anne, Harrisville; and Joseph D. Covert and his wife Nancy, Grove City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Ace Covert; and a sister, Bernice Greco.

Calling hours: Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (9-24-13) in the funeral home.

Service: Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (9-25-13) in Cunningham Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Burial: With military honors in Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Pine Township.
