Paul V. Murcko died at 11:55 p.m. Friday (9-27-13) in his Jefferson Township residence after an extended illness due to declining health. He was 81.
Mr. Murcko was born June 30, 1932, on the family dairy farm in Jefferson Township to Joseph M. and Susan Rindos-Lynch Murcko.
Paul was a member of the former St. Ann’s Church in Farrell and belonged to Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, also in Farrell.
He attended the former Zahnhiser School and Charleston School, both in Jefferson Township.
In his younger days, Paul worked on the family farm. He was an electrician by trade and was self-employed and also worked for Penn-Ohio Electric Co. of Masury.
He managed and owned the former Lamont Restaurants, the Unique Restaurant and Murcko’s Restaurant, all in Hermitage.
He was a member of the Slovak Home in Farrell and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by two brothers, Dr. Alois V. Murcko, Jefferson Township, and the Rev. Monsignor Charles S. Murcko, Hermitage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Michael A., Frank T., Joseph, John and Andrew Murcko; a half brother, Stephen Lynch; and three sisters, Mary Miklos, Susie Kutcher and Anna Sniezak.

Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday (10-1-13) in Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, with his brother, the Rev. Monsignor Charles S. Murcko, retired priest, as celebrant.
Burial: St. Ann Cemetery, Hermitage.
