---- — Hanie D. Springston, formerly of Meadville and West Virginia, passed away peacefully at 8:09 a.m. Friday (10-4-13) in Rolling Fields, Conneautville, Pa after a brief illness. She was 97.

Born Feb. 22, 1916, in Williamson, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Nancy A. Williams Davis.

She attended school and was raised in Kentucky.

Mrs. Springston was of the Protestant faith.

She was a dedicated homemaker and loved her family very much and will be sadly missed by all.

Her husband, Ivan P. Springston, whom she married June 6, 1941, preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1973.

She is survived by: three daughters, Tressie Sharon Springston, Meadville; Ivadeen Clark, Owensboro, Ky.; and Candy Wilson, Stoneboro; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Albert Springston, and a grandson Jeffrey Blake.

Calling hours: 1 p.m. until time of service Monday (10-7-13) in SCOTT A. BLACK FUNERAL HOME, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro.

Service: 3 p.m. Monday (10-7-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Susan M. Hoover, pastor of Methodists United in Faith, officiating.

Interment: With committal service in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
