Caroline B. Jablonski

Brookfield homemaker was family matriarch

---- — Caroline B. Jablonski of Brookfield was received in the loving arms of her savior and by her family as she departed this life to begin her new life at 2:27 p.m. Friday (10-4-13) while under hospice care of Sharon Regional Health System following a period of declining health. She was 92.

Caroline was born Feb. 7, 1921, in Sharon, a daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth (Young) Siege.

On Oct. 9, 1948, she married Walter S. Jablonski, and together they started a family.

True to her matriarch title, Caroline relished caring for her family as a homemaker.

She loved and adored her family as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She lived for her family and always had family gatherings at her home.

Her memberships and activities included Grace Fellowship, Niles, Ohio; and her former card club. She helped her husband when he was a Brookfield Optimist.

In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking and, of course, entertaining.

Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, Walt “Whitey,” who was true to his vows; her sons, Eric “Ric” W. Jablonski, Vienna; and Marc S. Jablonski, Brookfield; her daughters, Barbara L. Somich and her husband John, Warren, Ohio; Gloria A, Vallone, Concord, Ohio; Donna M. Lucas, Warren, Ohio; and Leah J. Sipos, Sharpsville; her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Phyllis McKean, New Smyerna Beach, Fla.; and Judy Weaver and her husband Thomas, Midvale, Utah; and her brother, Tom Siege and his wife Arlene, Sharpsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren; her brother, David Siege; her sisters, Betty Gross and Dorothy Karlovic; and her two sons-in-law.

As suggested by her family, material contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association of your local area.

Burial: Brookfield Township Cemetery.

Arrangements by Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, 379 state Route 7 SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403 (330-509-3135).
