Frances Fisher

4-H Club leader enjoyed sewing, crocheting


- — Frances Fisher of Portersville passed away Sunday at her home surrounded by her lovely family. She was 83.

Mrs. Fisher was born Sept. 26, 1930 in Harlansburg to Waldo and Julia Boehm Barron.

She married Calvin Fisher on June 24, 1950.

Mrs. Fisher made a home for her husband and two daughters. She was a leader in the 4-H Club and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and, most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by: her husband, at home; two daughters, Jeanne Park, and Mary Ann Tomo and her husband Gregory, all Portersville; two brothers, John Barron and his wife Claire, and Fred Barron and his wife Sue, all of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Barron; and a great-grandson, Jonah G. Francic.
