Cindy Yerskey of 623 Sharon-New Castle Road, Farrell, passed from this life at 5:35 p.m. Thursday (2-20-14), surrounded by her husband and daughters, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 56.
Mrs. Yerskey was born Feb. 5, 1958, in Sharon to Leo and Sarah Capson Okin, both of whom are deceased.
Cindy married her husband, Mark, on May 10, 1980. He survives at home.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church in Farrell.
A graduate of Farrell High School class of 1976, she was an alumna of the former Cheena’s Beauty Academy, Hermitage. A licensed cosmetologist, she operated her own business from her home for several years.
Cindy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a wonderful homemaker for her family.
Besides her husband, Mark, she is survived by: her two daughters, Jessica and her husband Matthew Ischo, Brookfield; and Janeen Yerskey and her companion Joseph Emerich, Hermitage; two brothers, Rocco Okin and his wife Constance, Wellington, Fla.; and Paulie Okin, Farrell; and six beloved grandchildren who will miss her dearly, Andrew, Alex, Jeremy, Jamison, Tyler and Joseph.
