Norma J. Vrankovich

Hair salon manager also worked at steak house

- — Norma J. Vrankovich, Masury, was reunited in Heaven with her beloved Steve at 7:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, while a patient in St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, Ohio, following a brief illness, an illness originally caused by a broken heart. She was 76.

She was born June 29, 1937, in Sharon, a daughter of Raimondo and Gizella Markazich Clarich.

Norma attended Hickory High School, Hermitage, and was of the Catholic faith.

She worked at the former John Schuster’s Steak House, Masury, and later became the manager for Styling II Hair Salon, Brookfield.

She met her love, Steve Vrankovich, and on Sept. 30, 1965, they were married. This union was true, one that was like a love story true to its vows, “until death do us part.”

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble. Norma was also an exceptional cook and baker. But most of all, she loved attending every event that her granddaughters participated in.

Survivors include: her daughter, Anna R. Olek and her husband Ryszard, Brookfield; her granddaughters, “Guggy’s Girls” Alexandria N. and Stevie R. Olek; her sister, Esther Clarich, Niles, Ohio; and her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Steve, who passed Dec. 9, 2012; an infant son, Raymond Steven Vrankovich; and her brother, James R. Clarich.
