Donald “Don” D. Stull, a lifetime resident of Grove City, passed away at 9:14 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, in his home after a two-year illness. He was 79.
Mr. Stull was born May 27, 1933, in Grove City to Raymond G. and Mary McClymonds Stull.
Don was a graduate of Grove City High School, class of 1951.
An Army veteran, he served from 1951 to 1953 and, during part of his military time, was stationed in Germany.
Following his return home from the service, Don was a painter for 20 years in the erection department of Cooper Energy Service, Grove City. Following his employment with Cooper, he spent the next 20 years of his life as a manager for United Refineries, where he managed gas service stations in Barkeyville, Slippery Rock and Grove City.
Don was a van driver for nearly 15 years with The Herald in Sharon, having worked until his retirement at the age of 70. Two days following his retirement, he became a parts driver with Hovis Auto Supply, Grove City, where he worked until his recent illness.
Donald married Jean Saylor on Dec. 22, 1967; she survives at home.
Also surviving are: eight children, Gary Stull and his wife Anna, Midland, Texas; Richard Schultz, Richmond, Va.; and Robin Morley and her husband Shawn; David Schultz and his wife Stacy; Donnie Stull and his wife Melissa; Steve Stull and his wife Laura; Kristie Kenniston and her husband Mike; and Greg Stull and his wife Lisa, all Grove City; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilda Gilson, Fredonia.
He is also survived by his four-year-old puppy, Lucky.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Beverly Hill; and an infant brother, Kenneth Stull.

Service: Funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert R. Pascoe, chaplain of Amedisys Hospice, Lyndora, Butler County, officiating.
Interment: Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville.
