Eva M. Short

‘To everything there’s a season and time’

---- — TIME TO BE BORN – Eva M. Scott Short of 333 Wallis Ave., Farrell, was born Sept. 9, 1929, to Isaac and Addie Wilson Scott. She was the eighth of 16 children.

A TIME TO LIVE – Eva grew up and was educated in Cheraw, S.C. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in a creek and became a member of Old Zion Baptist Church in Montrose, S.C.

Among her many talents were sewing and cooking. She enjoyed daily reading of The Herald newspaper in Sharon.

A TIME TO LOVE – Eva was loving and giving and raised many children who were not her own. Eva was loved by many special friends, gave selflessly and had unbending love for all who entered her life circle.

A TIME TO DIE – On Friday, April 5, 2013, in Sharon Regional Health System, a loving and caring God came to carry her home to rest. She is gone but not forgotten, for in all our hearts, Eva will live forever.
