Carolyn L. Gambetti

’60 Sharpsville grad, bank retiree had family here


---- — WARREN, Ohio – Carolyn L. Gambetti of Niles, Ohio, went to be with the Lord and her husband Ronald, the love of her life, on Wednesday Oct. 9, 2013, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was 71.

Mrs. Gambetti was born March 8, 1942, in Sharon, a daughter of Robert and Claire Thompson Rush.

A 1960 honors graduate of Sharpsville High School, she was employed as a receptionist at Westinghouse and an escrow officer for Charter One Bank before retiring in 2001.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Niles, where she assisted in Sunday school. She was a teacher’s aide at Bonham Elementary School.

Carolyn enjoyed traveling, camping, spending time at the beach, flower gardening, reading and watching her grandchildren participate in their recreational activities.

Carolyn, who adored her husband, children, grandchildren, mother and sister, will be deeply missed by: her mother, Claire Rush, Hermitage; two daughters, Lisa Gambetti Ciriello, Niles; and Gina Gambetti Mahramas and her husband George, Howland; a sister, Madolyn Brown, Mercer; and her four grandchildren, Brandon and Hunter Ciriello; and George Mahramas Jr. and Sophia Mahramas.

She was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate, Ronald E. Gambetti, whom she married Nov. 30, 1963, and her father, Robert Rush.

Carolyn and Ron “Her Gam” will now be spending their 50th wedding anniversary together in heaven.
