Harvey ‘Tyke’ Mott

Hartford church member retired from Ohio Edison


- — Harvey “Tyke” Mott of Hartford passed away early Saturday morning (11-2-13) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a long illness. He was 70.

He was born July 12, 1943, in Kinsman, a son of Clifford and Luella Barbour Mott.

He was a 1962 graduate of Badger High School and belonged to Hartford Community Church.

He retired as a lineman for Ohio Edison.

He is survived by: three sisters, Ann Barnes, Pasadena, Calif.; Marjorie (John) Motes, Hartford; and Jane (George) Gerasimek, Transfer; three brothers, Earl (Phyllis) Mott, Fowler; Merle (Alvena) Mott, Homer, Ill.; and Joe (Edith) Mott, Maysville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Tyke was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bernice Mott.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday (11-5-13) in the funeral home.

Burial: Hartford Township Cemetery.
