Steven William Stowers

Lebanon Presbyterian member was truck driver

- — Mr. Stowers was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Whittier, Los Angeles County, Calif., to Edward and Irene V. Shannon Stowers.

He graduated from ElMonte (Calif.) High School.

Mr. Stowers was a truck driver for Ward Trucking, Shenango Township. An Air Force veteran, he served from 1962 to 1966 in security service.

Mr. Stowers was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township. He was an avid golfer.

His wife, the former Kay Morrison Locke, whom he married July 13, 1996, survives at the residence.

Also surviving are: his mother, Irene V. Stowers Coutts, Orrville, Calif.; two sons, Roger Stowers and his wife Lois, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Rusty Stowers and his wife Elizabeth, Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; two daughters, Tina and her husband Tom Fenrick, Mercer; and Starlyn Stowers, Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Richard Stowers, Okla.; a sister, Margaret Snodgrass, ElMonte; a stepdaughter, Donna and her husband Shawn Wingard, West Middlesex; and nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Calling hours: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday (11-24-13) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.

Service: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday (11-25-13) in Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township, with the Rev. August Hurst, pastor, officiating.
