Ann Volsko

St. John’s C-R Orthodox member lived in Brookfield

- — Born Dec. 31, 1919, in Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Volsko was a daughter of John and Helen Dirga Andras.

During World War II, Ann worked at the former Sharon Steel Corp.’s Farrell plant.

She was a member of St. John’s Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, Hermitage.

Ann was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She also enjoyed sewing.

Ann married George Volsko, who preceded her in death in 1988.

Ann is survived by two nieces, Dorothy Pacinda, Hermitage; and Georgia Andras, Poland, Ohio; a nephew, Bob Andras, Hermitage; a great-niece, Carolyn Roth, Brookfield; and two great-nephews, Gary Roth, Masury; and Michael Andras, Prosper, Texas.

In addition her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and John Andras; and a sister, Susan Trescilla.

Service: Funeral service at noon Monday in the church with the Rev. David Mastroberte and Proto Michael Polanichka, pastor emeritus, co-officiating.

Interment: Will follow in St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery, Hermitage.
