---- — Donald Rudolph Reed, 283 Grant St., Sharon, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Saturday (8-31-13) in Countryside Convalescent Home, East Lackawannock Township, after an extended illness. He was 80.

Mr. Reed was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Clymer, Pa.

He had worked as a dishwasher at former Sharon Country Club.

He had also worked at the former Pastabilities restaurant in Sharpsville.

He enjoyed woodworking, fixing things, and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Marie (Clark) Reed, whom he married on April 3, 1980.

Also surviving are five stepsons, John McKendrick of Sharon, Randy McKendrick and his wife Jill, of Blairsville, Robert McKendrick of Sharon, Steve McKendrick and his wife, Danielle, and Tracy McKendrick and his wife, Danielle, all of Sharon; two sisters, Ruth Ann Good of Clymer and Shirley Griffin, of Carlisle.

He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
