Sharon L. Jones

Retired Case Ave. secretary belonged to St. Patrick’s

POLAND, Ohio — Sharon L. Jones of Poland, Ohio, formerly a 36-year resident of Masury, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (5-1-13) at home of natural causes. She was 63.

She was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Imhoff Koerth.

Sharon had worked as a secretary, a job that she loved dearly, at Case Avenue Elementary School in Sharon for more than 30 years until her retirement in 2009. Since then she had worked as substitute for the Sharon City School District. She was also a member of the Sharon High School Reunion Committee for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Hubbard. Sharon had moved to Poland within the last year to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren with whom she dearly loved spending time and calling her new apartment her retirement home.

Her husband Rick Jones whom she married on Feb. 18, 1972, preceded her in death on May 28, 2001.

With much love she leaves behind: her daughter, Abbey Argiro of Poland and her husband Pat; a son Doug Jones of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren, whom she visited almost every day and who gave her a new outlook on life, Nicholas, Halle and Madison Argiro; a brother, Raymond Koerth of Sharon and his wife Paula; a sister Karen Iacino and her husband Mark, Savannah, Ga.; a sister-in-law Joann Jones and brother-in-law Fritz Seefeldt, Kent, Ohio; a special dear friend whom she had known since childhood and thought of as her sister, Barb Leonetti of North Royalton, Ohio; another close friend with whom she was next door neighbors since moving to Poland, Cyndi Argiro; and nieces and nephews Kellie and Jeremy Rupnik; Tim and Stacy Koerth; Dave Koerth; Katie, Shannon and Jacob Iacino; Anna and Adam Graham; and John and Stacy Seefeldt.

Sharon was full of life and inspiration and lived for the day but planned for the future. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and her memory will always and forever be in our hearts.

As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be made to the family which will be used in the future to benefit the children that Sharon so cherished.
