Mercer High grad was medical transcriptionist


---- — McKEAN, Erie County – Sharene E. Moore of McKean is at peace with the angels after battling lung cancer more than four years. Richard, her best friend and husband for more than 21 years, walked hand in hand by her side, never leading, never following, since the day they were introduced. She died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in her home at the age of 52.

Sharene was a daughter of Paul and Sue Rodemoyer, Mercer; mother of Jared McClure, Erie; sister of Andy Rodemoyer, Mercer; and Scott Rodemoyer, husband of Marisol, Youngstown; aunt of several nieces and nephews; and a friend to everyone who knew her.

Sharene’s 30-plus year career as a medical transcriptionist began after graduation from Mercer High School and what was then Mercer County Vocational Technical School.

Survivors include her husband and his sons and grandson, her parents, her son and her brothers.

Sharene was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents; and her father- and mother-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, Sharene requested donations to The Regional Cancer Center Foundation, 2500 W 12th St, Erie PA 16505.
