- — A funeral service will be held Monday for Lucille J. Parker of 760 Division St., Sharon. She passed away early Wednesday morning, March 5, 2014, in her home. She was 92.

Mrs. Parker was born March 9, 1922, in Dover, Ohio, to Henry Richards and Bernice Denison Richards.

She was a member of Ruth African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Sharon; and belonged to Zylphia Temple 66, Daughters of Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World, Farrell.

Her companion, Roy Hood, survives at home.

Also surviving are: a son, Richard D. Parker, Ellicott City, Md.; two brothers, David Richards and his wife Helen, Sharon; and Robert Richards; five sisters, Roberta Walker, Mollie Barbee, Charlotte Simpson, Caroline McGuire and Terresa Richards; and two grandchildren, Erica and Natalie Parker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Parker, who passed away in 1957; and a son, Gary W. Parker, in 2008.
