Farrell woman had belonged to two churches


- — A private funeral service celebrating the life of Myrtle L. Bryant of Farrell was held Saturday March 8, 2014, in Love Christian Center, Farrell. She departed this life March 3, 2014, in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 88.

Mrs. Bryant was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Farrell, a daughter of James and Louise Hubbard Blackwell.

She was a graduate of Farrell High School.

On July 6, 1946, she married Ulysses G. Bryant.

She was a former member of Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, Farrell, where she served as a member of the devotional team and, until her health began to fade, was a member of Love Christian Center, Farrell.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, four daughters, Laura Lee, Warren; Patricia Harrison and her husband Allen, Farrell; Linda Stinson, Farrell; and Claudette Wilson and her husband Gary, Sharon; three sons, Keith Bryant and his wife Theresa, Sharon; and Thane and Mark Bryant, both Farrell; her sister, Rilla Blackwell, Austintown; her brothers, Harrison Blackwell, Farrell; and Robert Blackwell and his wife Gwendolyn, Farrell; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, James and William Blackwell.
