Matthew Charles Ehrlich

Usher at St. John’s worked for M&R


- — Matthew Charles Ehrlich of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly at 2:09 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 46.

Mr. Ehrlich was born Aug. 18, 1967, in Sharon to Richard and Betty Ann Matters Ehrlich.

Matthew worked in the parts department for M&R Power Equipment, Hermitage.

On April 10, 1999, he married the former Ada Wilson, who survives at home.

He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sharon, where he served as an usher. In his early years, he was a Boy Scout.

Matthew enjoyed golfing, gardening and playing darts and was well-known for hosting his large Labor Day picnic every year. Most important to Matthew was spending time with family and friends.

Matthew is survived by: his loving wife, Ada; stepdaughter, Valerie Hudson, Sharpsville; sister, Susan and her husband Robert Cairns, Chester Gap, Va.; sister-in-law, Laurie Ann and her husband Kevin Sutley, Sharpsville; three brothers, Richard Ehrlich, Sharon; George Ehrlich and his wife Mary, Manassas, Va.; and Charles Ehrlich, Pittsburgh.

Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and great-nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ehrlich, and mother, Betty Ann Ehrlich.
