---- — Mary Jane Uber Beatty, a resident since 1948 of Liberty Township (Grove City), died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler. She was 86.

A daughter of Milo N. Uber and Blanche E. Miller, she was born Oct. 7, 1926, in Wilkinsburg, Pa.

She was a graduate of the former Turtle Creek High School, class of 1945. Following high school, she worked during World War II at a Westinghouse plant and later attended Grove City College.

A homemaker, she raised her children.

She was a Presbyterian.

Mary Jane enjoyed ballroom dancing and reading. God forbid if you called her during Masterpiece Theater.

She is survived by three children, Russell Beatty and his wife Mary E., Robert Beatty and his wife Beth, and Melodie Esposito and her husband Eddy, all Grove City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Joy Hansen, Plymouth, Mich.; and a brother, Milo Charles “Bud” Uber and his wife Nancy, Martinsburg, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Bonnie Jean Winder in 1980.

Service: Funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday (7-8--13) in East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St., Grove City, with the Rev. Bill Hoffman officiating.

Burial: Old Presbyterian Cemetery, Grove City.
