---- — Mary Jean Boyd of Hermitage passed away at 10:45 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, in Avalon Springs, Coolspring Township. She was 84.

Mrs. Boyd was born March 16, 1929, in Monongahela, Pa., to Thomas J. Fisher and Dorothy Mae Hughes Fisher.

Mary Jean graduated in 1947 from the former Monongahela High School.

She was a homemaker and worked for A&P Grocery Store as a clerk in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.

She was of the Catholic faith. Mary Jean enjoyed reading, cooking gourmet food and going out to eat. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and having family gatherings.

Her husband of 66 years, Ronald Lane Boyd, passed away April 12 of this year.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Boyd, Coraopolis, Pa.; and Laurie Anne Coulter, Streetsboro, Ohio; a son, R. Lane Boyd, Oklahoma; a brother, William Fisher, Medina, Ohio; two granddaughters, Leanne and Danielle Coulter; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Fonseca.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Mae Fisher; and a brother, Thomas Joseph Fisher.
