Helen Jean Miller

---- — Helen Jean Miller of Pine Township (Grove City), passed away at 3:58 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. She was 74.

Mrs. Miller was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Grove City to Jacob and Ida Marie Attin-ger Kocher.

She was a graduate of Lakeview High School, class of 1955. 

Helen retired from Grove City College where she was a secretary for more than 20 years.

She was a member of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City, where she was a former deacon and belonged to the Christian Friends Sunday school class.

Helen enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially trips to see shows at the Sights and Sounds Theatre in Lancaster, Pa. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with friends.

Her husband, Donald “Don” Miller, whom she married Aug. 22, 1959, survives at home.

Also surviving are: four children, Jerry Miller and his wife Myrna; and Dave Miller, all Grove City; Janet Skunda, Butler; and Nancy Miller, Grove City; six grandchildren, Jacob Skunda, Courtney Miller, Chauncey Miller, Skyler Cook, Jebediah Cook and Mercedes Cook; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Potter, Wesley; and a brother, Louis Kocher, Grove City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Grace Kocher; and a brother, Charles Kocher.
