Nancy Elizabeth Tubb

Sharon woman worked for Hermitage School District


- — Nancy Elizabeth Tubb, formerly of Third Avenue, Sharon, passed away at 10:52 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 83.

Mrs. Tubb was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Lancaster, Garrard County, Ky., a daughter of Lucian and Mary Elizabeth Binge Simpson.

She attended schools in Cincinnati.

Mrs. Tubb worked for 25 years as a custodian with Hermitage School District.

Her husband, Jack C. Tubb, whom she married April 7, 1950, passed away March 4, 1990. 

She is survived at home by a granddaughter, Mary Tubb; and a great-grandson, Nathaniel Tubb, whom she raised, and his companion, Tera McClure and their child, Leah Belle Tubb. Also surviving are five additional great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a stepgranddaughter; and five brothers, Lucian Simpson, Tucson, Ariz.; Earl Simpson, Sharon; and William Simpson; Thomas Simpson and his wife Karen; and Larry Simpson and his wife Diane, all Ohio.

In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jack T. Tubb, who passed away April 26, 2013; two brothers, Ronald and Charles E. Simpson; two sisters, Angeline DeFabio and Helen Anerino; and a granddaughter, Angelic Tubb.
