Imanuel Cochise Thompson

Farrell man worked in Warren, Youngstown

- — A funeral service will be held with time and date to be announced for Imanuel Cochise Thompson of 707 Union St., Farrell. As a young man, he accepted Jesus of Nazareth as his personal Savior. He valiantly fought an illness for six months, with what understanding he had of what to do, until the Lord compassionately took him to be with Him at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (2-13-14) in his home. He was 39.

Praises to Jesus the Christ. After the Lord brought him through a hard-fought struggle in the womb, Imanuel Thompson was born Nov. 18, 1974, in Sharon to thankful parents, C. Douglass Thompson II and Darlynna Satterwhite Thompson.

His education began at Wengler Elementary School in Sharon and, after his family’s move to Farrell, he graduated from Farrell High School and later received schooling at ICM School of Business, Pittsburgh area, earning a degree in licensed practical nursing.

He worked in home health in Warren, Ohio, for a period of time.

He was employed at Alcoa Extrusions Corp., Warren, until the plant closed and worked at other jobs in Ohio until being stricken with a debilitating illness at his last place of employment, GLI Pool Products, Youngstown.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Douglass Thompson II; his elder brother, Colbert III; his younger brother, Timothy; and a host of loving, caring family members including nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins, all of whom will miss him with cherished memories.
