A funeral service will be held Monday for James Allen “Spike” Marsh of 691 N. Perry Highway, Mercer. He passed away at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Sharon Regional Health System’s Hospice Center. He was 67.
Mr. Marsh was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Grove City to Roy Albert and Pauline King Marsh.
Jim graduated in 1964 from Mercer High School.
He was co-owner of Marsh busing and Marsh Farms. Jim worked through the years at Reznor, a unit of Thomas & Betts, McDowell Farms and Mercer Tire, all Mercer, and was a truck driver.
He coached Little League and enjoyed hunting, especially in Wyoming. Jim also enjoyed NASCAR and Mercer Raceway.
Surviving are: his son, Kevin James Marsh and his wife Tammy and grandchildren, Kelsey and Tyler Marsh, all Mercer; his daughter, Kimberly Marsh Dawson and grandson Colton Dawson and his former wife Barbara Middleton Marsh, all Killbuck, Ohio; and two sisters, Janet Marsh Updyke and her husband Douglas; and Joanne Marsh Lanich and her husband Chris, all Mercer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pauline Marsh; his brother, Chuck; and two daughters, Debra Lee and Kristina Lynn Marsh.

Interment: Coolspring (Township) Cemetery.
