Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ M. Park

Mechanic enjoyed working on his classic ’67 car


- — Jeffrey “Jeff” M. Park, 31 Main St., Fredonia, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, in his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 52.

Mr. Park was born May 3, 1961, in Franklin, a son of Ronald L. and Leora Mae Park.

On May 12, 1984, he married Danielle R. Nanz, who survives.

He was a graduate of Lakeview High School.

Jeff was a mechanic, a trade which he thoroughly enjoyed until he became disabled.

He attended Fredonia Presbyterian Church and was a loving family man who believed in putting his family first.

Jeff enjoyed working on his ’67 Malibu which he would often drag race.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his daughter, Jennifer Park, Quakertown, Pa.; a son, Jeffrey M. Park II and his fiancée Stephanie Brown, Fredonia; his mother, Leora Mae Park, Greenville; two sisters, Rhonda Zupen and her husband Paul, Homosassa Springs, Fla.; and Melanie Kasbee and her husband Brian, Greenville; and three brothers, Todd Park and his wife Bonnie Lee, Joppa, Md.; Ronald Park and his wife Jamie, Greenville, who was also Jeff’s fishing buddy and was appreciated by the family for the care that Ron provided to Jeff; and Joe Park and his wife Joy, Greenville.

He leaves a very special friend, with whom Jeff had farmed and raised many animals, Brad Erlwine, and a grandson, Braden Morgan Park, both Fredonia.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K. Street N.W., Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20005.
