Janice E. Crawley, a resident of Pine Township (Grove City) since 1949, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, in VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler, after a six-month illness. She was 85.
Janice was born June 26, 1928, in Greenville to Thomas F. Park and Margaret M. Morrison Park
She married Clarence M. Crawley on May 29, 1947. He passed on July 20, 1990.
Janice was a nurse aide from 1969 to 1984, working at the former Bashline Memorial Hospital, Grove City, and retiring from United Community Hospital, Pine Township. Following her retirement, she worked for many years at the Eat’n Park restaurant in Springfield Township, village of London.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Janice enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She also liked taking trips to casinos and going on beach vacations to New Jersey and Florida.
Survivors are: two children, Sharon L. Dye and her husband Thomas, and Charles W. Crawley, both Grove City; eight grandchildren, Ken Miller and his wife Christine, Micki Sholler and her husband Curt, Stan Miller and his wife Amy, Chuck Miller, Chris Dye and his wife Hope, Brenda Crawley, Jamie Crawley and Chad Crawley; two sisters, Gloria Lees and Juanita Ohler, both Jackson Center; a brother, Thomas D. Park and his wife Connie, Sandy Lake; 11 great-grandchildren, Kayla Badger and her husband Chase, Joshua Miller, Nicholas Miller, Curtis Sholler, Chelesa Miller, Morgan Miller, Madalyn Miller, Kara Miller, Baylee Dye, Mackenzee Dye and Addyson Dye; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lincoln Badger.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris McAnich and Priscilla Jenkins; a brother, Donald L. Park; and her companion, Valentino V. Sciarrone.
