Pauline Ann Gioan of Greenville passed away at 3:25 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, in Whitecliff Health and Rehabilitation Center, Hempfield Township. She was 94.
Mrs. Gioan was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Farrell, a daughter of John Gotch.
A homemaker, Pauline was a member of Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage.
She belonged to Hickory Women’s Club and liked making flower arrangements, ceramics, ceramic dolls and cooking.
Her husband, Elmer J. Gioan, passed away Oct. 23, 1989.
Pauline is survived by her two sons, Jerry Gioan and his wife Toni, Transfer; and Joseph Gioan, Mercer; a sister, Alice Rodanz, Phoenix; seven grandchildren, Joseph Gioan, Anthony Gioan, David Gioan, Phillip Gioan, Shawn Gioan, James Gioan and Lisa Shadlock; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by her father, John Gotch; a son, Elmer Gioan Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Rita C. Gioan.

Service: Graveside service at noon Tuesday (4-29-14) at St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage, with the Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, as celebrant.
