Ethelnel Baron

Sharpsville woman worked for hospital, attorneys

- — A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated May 2 for Ethelnel Baron of South 8th Street, Sharpsville. She passed away peacefully of natural causes at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday (4-16-14) in Clepper Manor, Sharon. She was 86.

Mrs. Baron was born June 19, 1927, in Sharon, a daughter of Stephen J. and Eleanor M. Kaliney Takash.    

A lifelong area resident, she was a member of Sharon High School’s graduating class of 1945.

She worked for 26 years in several capacities at what is now UPMC Horizon, Farrell, and retired as a medical staff secretary. Following her retirement from UPMC, she gained employment as a secretary for Attorneys Robert J. Tesone, James Nevant II and William J. Moder III.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka-Holy Trinity Parish, Sharon.

An astrology buff, Mrs. Baron belonged to Astrology Interact, Sharon; and the Mahoning County Valley Astrological Society.

Her husband, Walter E. Baron, whom she married Dec. 28, 1948, survives her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Judith L. Baron, Knoxville, Md.; and Gayle E. Miller and her husband Bob, Sharpsville; two sons, Robert S. Baron and his wife Rose, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and Richard D. Baron and his companion Betty “Annie” Chaney, Mercer; and her two grandchildren, Brett Baron and Erica Vera and her husband Zeus.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
