Loretta DeAngelis Pepe of Sharon passed away at 4:25 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 93.
Mrs. Pepe was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Sharpsville to Socio and Assunta Rosati DeAngelis.
She graduated from Sharpsville High School.
Loretta was a volunteer for 30 years for Meals on Wheels.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Sharon.
On April 26, 1946, she married Paul A. Pepe, who passed away Sept. 15, 2000.
Loretta liked crossword puzzles, knitting and crafts, and loved spending time with her family.
Loretta is survived by her daughter, Grace and her husband Bruce Vinion, Punta Gorda, Fla.; two sons, Tony Pepe and his wife Martha, Cave Creek, Ariz.; and Paul Pepe, Henderson, Nev.; two brothers, John “Lefty” DeAngelis; and Joseph DeAngelis and his wife Antoinette, all Sharpsville; and two granddaughters, Angela Marie Pepe and Melissa Pepe; and a grandson, William Pepe, all Phoenix.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband of 54 years, Paul A. Pepe, she was preceded in death by her father, Socio DeAngelis; mother, Assunta DeAngelis; brothers, Dominick DeAngelis, Vincent DeAngelis and Jesse DeAngelis; and sisters, Margaret Hether, and two infant sisters, Margaret DeAngelis and Mary Olivia DeAngelis.
