Olga C. (Isla) Rosati

Fatima-St. Ann’s member liked to sew, crochet, bake

- — A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday for Olga C. (Isla) Rosati, who lived in Hermitage for 13 years and previously lived in Farrell. She passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon (4-25-14) in her home. She was 77.

Olga was born to Ramon and Primativa (Balcarcel) Isla.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann’s Church, Farrell, where she belonged to both the Alter Rosary Society and the “Cavatelli Ladies.”

Olga, fondly known as Wela, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a recent great-grandmother. Her family was the most important thing to her. Her motto was, “Stick with your family and they will never let you down.”

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and making cavatelli once a week for her church.

Her loving husband of 57 years, Nick Rosati, survives at home. They were married June 16, 1956, in St. Benedict Church in Canton, Ohio. Olga was a graduate of Timken High School in Canton.

She is also survived by two daughters, Diana Iacino and her husband Joseph, North Canton, Ohio; and Cindy Reynolds and her husband David, Hermitage; and two sons, Robert Rosati and his wife Roni, Hermitage; and Mark Rosati and his wife Lorie, of Burlington, Ky.; two brothers, Robert and his wife Mary Isla, Louisville, Ohio; and Raymond and his wife Nancy Isla, Massillon, Ohio.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Jena (Iacino) Grosschmidt and her husband Ryan; Joseph (J.P.) Iacino; Ryan, Richmond and Ross Rosati; Cole and Alayna Reynolds; and Madilynn and Nickolette Rosati; and her great-granddaughter of 10 weeks, Mia Nicole Grosschmidt.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in her memory to please consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place,  Memphis, TN 38105.
