Anthony “Tony” A. Pitoscia of Hubbard, died peacefully Saturday morning, April 26, 2014, surrounded by his family at his home. He was 81.
Mr. Pitoscia was born March 15, 1933, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Giovannina Colalillo Pitoscia. He was a lifelong area resident.
Tony was a graduate of East High School, Youngstown, and a member for 57 years of St. Patrick’s Church, Hubbard.
He was a pipe inspector for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He owned Tony Pitoscia Construction Co. for 50 years and was a partner with his son, David, at Webb’s Ice Cream, Liberty Township, Trumbull County.
Tony enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing, spending time at his cabin in West Virginia, cooking and canning. He especially loved being with his family and grandchildren.
He leaves: his wife, the former Dorothy T. Levandoski, whom he married July 5, 1952; three sons, Tony Pitoscia and his wife Julie, Hartford; and David T. Pitoscia and his wife Patricia, and Bill Pitoscia, all Brookfield; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Slemons and MVI Hospice for the wonderful care given to their father.
Tony’s family requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Service: Funeral services at 9:30 a.m. Thursday (5-1-14) in the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Hubbard, with the Rev. Timothy H. O’Neill, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: Hubbard Union Cemetery.
