Stella Arlene Hogue

Coolspring retiree worked at Lakeview schools, Polk


---- — Stella Arlene (Myers) Hogue of 214 Orr Road, Coolspring Township (Mercer), passed away at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, after an extended illness. She was 73.

Mrs. Hogue was born in Mercer on June 7, 1939, a daughter of her mother, Lillian Brown Kougher, and stepfather, Frank Kougher.

Stella was a graduate of Mercer High School. She married John Hogue Sr. on July 4, 1958.

She was of Catholic faith.

Stella worked as a janitor at Lakeview High School, Sandy Lake Township, and as a caregiver at Polk Center, from which she retired in 1998.

She is survived by her husband John, at home; two daughters, Lori Baun and her husband Douglas, Jackson Center; and Rhonda Kasbee and her husband Michael, Sandy Lake; two sons, John Hogue Jr., Stoneboro; and Mark Hogue and his wife Carrie, Utica; a half brother, Dave Kougher and his wife Shirley, Fredonia; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren

Mrs. Hogue was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Earla Husband; and a stepbrother, George Kougher.

Calling hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (4-30-13) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.

Service: Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday (5-1-13) in Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, with the Rev. Michael Allison, pastor, as celebrant.

Entombment: Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
