Sharon Steel retiree was veteran, liked to fix things

---- — Budd Richard “Robie” Robinson of Pymatuning Township passed away at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in his residence after a period of declining health. He was 83.

Mr. Robinson was born March 10, 1930, in Springfield Township, a son of Charles Budd Robinson and Grace Ileen Woods Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was employed for more than 30 years at the former Sharon Steel Corp.’s Farrell plant, retiring as a millwright.

He proudly served his country as a staff sergeant with the Army Air Force during the Korean conflict.

He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Hebron Lodge 575, Coolspring Township.

He always enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family and was especially fond of the moments he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed working in his yard, fixing and working on small engines and being able to tinker with those items that needed to be repaired.

On Nov. 7, 1953, he married the former Rose Anna George, who survives.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, he is survived by: a son, Ross Robinson and his wife Karen, Lawrence County; a daughter, Darlene Goodemote and her husband Lee, Pymatuning Township; a sister, Luella “Lou” Winner, Greenville; a brother, David L. Robinson and his wife Gloria, Fredonia; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ileen G. Reigleman and Betty L. Hawthorne Greggs; and a brother, Floyd L. Robinson.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Transfer Volunteer Fire Department, Box 105, Transfer, PA 16154.
