Patagonia woman worked in restaurant, travel plaza


---- — Nancy L. Sundelin of Marshall Street in the Patagonia area of Hermitage passed away at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday (5-8-13) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. She was 69.

Mrs. Sundelin was born Aug. 9, 1943, in Rimersburg, Clarion County, a daughter of Preston and Dorothy Elvira Switzer Adams.

She was raised in Sharon and attended Sharon schools.

A homemaker, she worked several years at the former Guliano’s family restaurant in both its Brookfield and Hubbard locations. She retired from Flying J Travel Plaza, Hubbard,  where she worked in the hot deli for several years.

A baseball fan, she loved to root for her beloved Cleveland Indians. She also was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and, in her spare time, enjoyed traveling to local casinos.

Her first husband, David Kephart, whom she married April 25, 1964, passed away Sept. 30, 1982.

Her second husband, Ralph H. Sundelin, whom she married Oct. 21, 1987, survives at the residence.

Also surviving are a daughter, Vickie and her husband John Leali, New Wilmington; two sons, Timothy M. Fraley, Sharon; and James D. Kephart and his wife Catrina, Beulah, Wyo.; a sister, Delores “Dee” Reed and her husband Raymond D. Reed, Sharon; and a stepson, Ralph Sundelin, Grove City.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Steven, Jason, and Heather Fraley; Courtney and her husband Jeramie Gates, David Kephart and his wife Amanda, Abby and her husband Kevin Perrine, James D. Kephart Jr. and Taylor Kephart. She also leaves her stepgrandchildren, Austin, Kristen, Zachary, Brandon and Hunter Williams; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alvin P. Adams and James R. Adams.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday (5-14-13) in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John A. Frey officiating.

Interment: Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township, with committal prayers in its Clyde Jewell Memorial Chapel.
