Retired nurse enjoyed cooking, crafts, gardening


---- — Marlane J. Meals, 6 Beech St., Stoneboro, passed away in UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, at 3:23 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013. She was 70.

Marlane was born July 18, 1943, in Rochester, Beaver County, to Anthony Domitrovich and Julia Debrosky.

A retired nurse from Polk Center, Marlane loved cooking, gardening, crafts, sewing, collector dolls, making bears and spending time with family, friends and her dog, Bella.

She was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Surviving are: her husband of 31 years, Kenneth E. Meals Jr., at home;  four daughters, Julie, wife of Adolf Allesch, Union, Ky.; and Lisa, wife of Daryl Anderson Jr.; Lori, wife of Douglas Wise; and Amy Carey, all Grove City; three sons, Douglas Hilton and his wife Michelle, Butler; Michael Meals and his wife Carrie, Mercer; and Brian Meals and his wife Maribeth, Munhall; and 17 grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.


Mrs. Kenneth E. Jr. (Marlane J.), 70, of 6 Beech St., Stoneboro.

Service: Private family service at 11 a.m. Tuesday (7-23-2013) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.

Interment: Clintonville Cemetery.
