---- — Richard L. Vinton of Pine Township passed away at 8:05 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, where he lived for a year. He was 80.

Mr. Vinton was born July 8, 1933, in Grove City to Raymond S. Vinton and Hazel A. Riddle Vinton.

He was a graduate of Grove City High School, class of 1953.

Richard retired from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. and Grove City College.

He was a lifelong member of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City.

His wife, the former Shirley J. Sopher, whom he married May 16, 1959, survives at home.

Also surviving are: four daughters, Julie Glass and her husband Howard, Grove City; Judy Gregg and her husband Jeffrey, Plano, Texas; Barbara Haizlett and her husband Michael, Grove City; and Beth Bartley and her husband Robert, Mercer; 11 grandchildren, Ryan and Scott King; Andrew, Anna, Austin and Alex Gregg; Bethany, Melissa and Caleb Haizlett; and Jake and Maddie Bartley; and a sister, Joanne Miller and her husband Robert, Grove City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Service: Funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday (7-26-13) in the funeral home.

Interment: Mount Irwin Cemetery, Irwin Township, Venango County.
