David ‘Dave’ L. Reagle

Vet ministered at nursing homes, campgrounds


---- — David “Dave” L. Reagle of Grove City, passed away at 8:49 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, in Butler Veterans Administration Medical Center after a three-year illness. He was 77.

Mr. Reagle was born June 2, 1936, in Grove City to David C. and Gertrude Ann Beers Reagle.

He retired from Bend (Ore.) Parks and Recreation, where he was a mechanic. Previously he was with the Civil Services where he was a pipefitter at the San Francisco Bay Naval Shipyard.

Dave graduated in 1994 from Liberty Bible Institute, Lynchburg, Va., and served as an interim minister in various churches.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served from March 1954 to January 1958 during the Korean conflict.

Dave attended Grove City Alliance Church and enjoyed ministering at campgrounds and in nursing homes. He loved discussing the scriptures with others; he had no fear of death and looked forward to being with the Lord.

His wife, the former Erma J. Collins, whom he married March 28, 1961, survives at home.

Also surviving are: three children, Susan Graham and her husband Patrick, Montgomery Village, Md.; Michael Reagle and his wife Terrie, Lafayette, La.; and Sherri Mocabee and her husband Sam, Bend; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Iris Sue Hall and her husband Ronald, Walton, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Steele.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity that benefits veterans.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin Dixon of Grove City Alliance Church officiating.

Interment: Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.
